For a Glitzy Accent

"When it comes to embellishments, the most important thing is to go outside the makeup-store realm," says Kennedy. For lip or eye framing (as seen at Dries Van Noten, below), choose size according to desired location: smaller for lips, slightly larger for the eyes or cheeks. Your adhesive is as important as your appliqués. Kennedy suggests a non-latex based eyelash glue (like Duo Brush-On Adhesive With Vitamins, $6, ultra.com), which is easier to remove at the end of the night. And before you crystalize lips, be sure to prep them. "I swear by Patchology FlashPatch Lip Gels [$50, ulta.com], which heal dryness and camouflage fine lines, she says. Just make sure to wipe any excess off so lips aren't moist, for optimal adhesion."
